Course wrap up

I found ETEC 522 quite challenging yet extremely helpful for my daily work.  The course content and interactivities along with venture pitches and the experience shared by all, furthered my understanding of ventures in educational technology and gave me some really good “food for thought”.

In addition to improvements around navigation and usability that have already been mentioned, I would suggest that students start preparing an elevator pitch around week 3 and then post it for comments and feedback. This experience with “real” pitches will be an extremely helpful exercise to become familiar with the process and address all pitch elements in preparation for the final assignment.

While the pitch pool activity provided some good samples and opportunities for “hands-on” critiquing , I feel that many of the sample pitches were not targeting investors. I am sure that this cohort will be willing to share the experience and enrich the pitch pool for our colleagues in the upcoming iterations.

Thank you all for your ideas, feedback and creativity.

Enjoy the rest of the summer.
